The Scarborough Rugby League festival has raised £1327 for the RFL Benevolent Fund after organisers Breakaway tours agreed to donate £1 to the charity for every person who signed up to play in the tournament which takes place on May 8.
The festival is believed to be one of the biggest Rugby League events in the world in terms of numbers taking part with over 1,300 players involved this year.
