Pictured is Danny Scott and family at the RFL President’s Ball.  The Las Vegas themed Ball raised over £20,000.  Danny, who played for the Huddersfield team Mould Green, has recently had his house re-adapted with the help of the Benevolent Fund to accommodate Danny’s disabilities.

The RFL Benevolent Fund recently held the annual President’s Ball  at the Queen’s Hotel, Leeds.  John Whaling, the RFL President, spoke as did guest speaker Bridget Purdham, mother of Garry Purdham who tragically lost his life in the Cumbria shootings.  The gala event was attended by 300 people and was a huge success.  This annual event has become a real favourite on the rugby league social calendar.  All monies raised go directly to helping seriously injured rugby players and their families.
